Mount Holyoke Studio Art Major Capstone Show

To culminate my journey at Mount Holyoke and to graduate as a Studio Art major, I participated in a group exhibition with the rest of my graduating class. This show was titled “coming home” and took place in Torrey Hall at Mount Holyoke College.

My capstone consisted of 15 paintings, all 7”x7” or less, all painted during my time in school. All of the paintings are gouache on panel, many of them cut to custom shapes. The exhibition discussed themes of self and environment, and how my body connects to the land which formed it. This capstone was created in tandem with the completion of my degree in Biological Sciences, which informed my knowledge and understanding of the world around me.
